Behind this print
2011. I was finally making a longly expected trip to El Chaltén, in southern Patagonia Argentina. As soon as we came down of the bus, I was amazed by the perfection and beauty of the Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre.
I had never seen such magnificent creation of nature, standing there as two giants watching over this amazing little town.
Back in the city, I decided to make two print series of 20 x 27.5 inches as a way put my fascination into paper. The first one was the Fitz Roy silkscreen prints. I made it right away, and have been selling it since 2012.
This second one took me 5 years to be finished, a lot of back and forth, looking for the best way to reflect the impact and violence of such an amazing mountain as Cerro Torre.
